Tim Conway was great!
And, yes, sadly, you may be correct. It sounds to me (and I could be way off base) as if the wife wants to place TC in a cheaper facility to save more of the estate for herself(?) and maybe her own care / future care, while the daughter is basically saying "screw that, I want Dad to get the best care possible, even if it eats up the estate."
Still... If Conway's wife is frightened and / or worried about her own care, maybe no one is a "rat".
There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy, there's just you and me and we just disagree..."
In the cases of both my Mom and Dad, if / when they needed better care, the less well equipped facilities were honest & told us that they could not take / or continue to have him or her. (In the case of my Dad's Assisted Living, as he deteriorated, his facility suggested for a while we had private sitters come in to stay with him part time, which really ran up total cost, but also improved his quality of life quite a bit. Since his medical needs were fairly minimal, this was better than nursing care, even if almost as expensive. Later he had a stroke and then did have to go to nursing care, but while in Assisted Living, did he ever enjoy having those young ladies helping him out & keeping him company most of the day!) (We were quite fortunate in getting mostly really good sitters.)
Whups - horrible sentence by me — getting too late in the evening - should have been:
