Now it’s in my head that he is suffering on his way to the grave. I didn’t need to know that.

You just nailed the problem with 24 hour news and social media. Sensory overload. You’re right. Humans are not designed to be assaulted with bad news 24 hours a day with the meter set constantly to 11, but that is what the MSM has been pushing in a desperate attempt at attracting viewers.
The result has been the opposite. People are switching them off in increasing numbers, and that’s a good thing, not just for their sanity but to avoid the barrage of daily B.S. about every day being an unprecedented disaster. It’s not.
The best thing that could happen would be for the so-called 24 news shows to burn themselves out of existence. It does seem they are well on the way.
I think we’re hearing about it now because there’s a family disagreement going on, and the daughter or her lawyer thinks public support is needed. I agree with you on your point. We don’t all need to know about someone’s private life just because he or she is famous.
I wouldn’t be too troubled, he probably isn’t feeling any pain or knowledge of his condition.
Told my gf that when the time comes and my brain folds up to just put me in a home and walk away. I won’t know about it and I won’t care, I’ll be somewhere else.
