saturated fat in the diet (in the gut and stomach) do not magically make it into your bloodstream. the stomach wall and the intestinal lining are very ‘smart’ semi permeable membranes.

The litany of arguments over diet are entertaining.

No one says, “stop eating crap, stop eating so much, and stop sitting on your butt”.

“Everything in moderation” just isn’t as exciting as saying “OMG KETO!!!”.

There is a youtube by a Dr. Eades. Talking about obsesity and the role of the fatty acid linlenoic acid, which is found in most vegetable oils but not much in cococnut oil.

Saturated fatty acids trigger the cell to quickly say I’ve had enough. Linlenoic acid acts like a super carb and the cell never triggers and will grow to enormous size.

He blames the obesity crisis on the introduction of vegetable oils and the move away from lard, beef tallow, coconut oil and palm oil.

Hogwash - tell that to Papillon!
Coconut water is the best rehydrater around. Full of electrolytes. Has even been used as emergency plasma in the jungles.

Oh, no. Not the coconut-oil-will-kill-you thing again. I remember last time when this happened. Rush covered it OFTEN, for the ridiculousness of it all. Maybe 15-20 years ago?

I’ve become so distrustful after everything I’ve learned about the various forms of medical marijuana that I see these people as not much better (and maybe worse) than the MSM. If they say it’s bad, it’s probably cutting into their profit.

Makes me want to start using coconut oil.

Coconut oil works very well to make heavy glass siding doors to move easier. We just had our windows/glass doors professionally cleaned.

We have 3 large/heavy triple glass sliding doors which got harder to close or open, so I asked the cleaner what he recommended for the sticking sliding doors.

He recommended coconut oil.

Step 1. Vacuum the dirt/crud from the slider rails.
Step 2. Clean the rails with some of the new wipes.
Step 3. Let the slider rails dry and then add the coconut
with a rag. Slide the doors and add more oil where
the door sticks.
Step 4. The next day and clean the rail with the wipes and
add more coconut oil. Works better if it is warm
outside.

Every 2-3 weeks or when needed repeat #1-#4.

We have found a healthy use of our coconut oil.

I’ll keep my cold pressed coconut oil, just the same.

Here’s a little things that impressed me about it:

You know how your stove gets stuck-on gunk around the burners? No matter how much you clean it it just gets ring of cooked oil?

Same thing when you cook with other fats - it gets sticky and gummy.

The first time I bought and used coconut oil I noticed after a few weeks that the rings of burnt oils on my stove were disappearing. The only thing different was the coconut oil, so I used some to clean the stove, and wouldn’t you know it straight up removed those cooking rings from a 20 year old stove top.

I might be wrong, but I figure if coconut oil can do that for a stove it ought be working wonders in my body.
