I don’t quite get this. Wasn’t Cohen an attorney of Trump’s? Is his revealing dirt of a client not illegal?
And didn’t Cohen say earlier that Trump didn’t know about the payment to Stormy Daniels?
And yet, on Fox News today, it was being reported that these payments were made with campaign money, which they said would be a serious violation of the law by the President.
If these payments were made with campaign money, I don’t believe for one minute that President Trump authorized Cohen to do it.
Remember, Robert Mueller handed over this case with Michael Cohen to the U.S. attorneys in the Southern District of NY, so Cohen made a plea deal with them, not the special counsel.
Apparently, Mueller didn’t get anything on Trump from Cohen or he wouldn’t have passed off his case.
