The videos make it seem that such challenges can be done safely. The girl is twelve years old. Adults have a hard time assessing risks but perhaps you think she should have been able to.

Understand this. She did not think she was setting herself on fire as in burning herself. It is a trick where the alcohol burns off so quickly you are not supposed to get burnt. Do you really think the video shows a person being injured?
The cruelty and callousness shown towards a child who is suffering greatly (or soon will be) by you and so many others disgusts me to no end. Y’all should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.
I was the Jr. Fire Marshal when I was 9...we understood fully the danger of open flames....

My Brownie Troop went to the local Fire Department and gave us a fire safety course. So we knew back then!
Even when I was 6 years old I knew that I didn’t want to be set on fire.
She did a foolish and dangerous thing after being shown that it could be done safely. She lacked the maturity to assess the risk of such a trick.
Stupid hurts, but nobody deserves this. Prayers up for the burned young lady. She is dumb, but a lot of kids are dumb before they full mature. She is payinga terribleprice for it. The only good that come out of it is if oter dumb kids ate disuaded to try it after seeing what she is going through.

Look we all know she was a 12 year old we just find it hard to believe she has the IQ of an ash tray. None of my friends at age 12 ever tried anything like this!
I could tell you some wild Camp stories involving a campfire but that is it! Stuff like that usually involved trying to build the biggest bonfire not burn the natives or ourselves.
Taking alcohol and setting ourselves on fire? Oh that never crossed our minds!
We had too much fire safety instilled in us to do something so stupid like this.
Also Smarty since you a Jr Firefighter tell me something. Alcohol fires can’t be put out with water can’t they? You need something else like baking soda or fire extinguisher due to nature of how oily isopropyl alcohol is. This child should have “Stopped dropped and rolled” but had not been taught this. Her parents (mother) should have put a blanket on her to smother the flames or am I correct?

Alcohol dissolves in water. The “set your hand on fire with alcohol” trick ends with dunking your flaming hand in water.
GASOLINE is immiscible with water and requires a dry fire extinguisher
Most alcohols are fairly soluble in water and diluting them will ptevent them from igniting.
