“DNA testing last year of a blanket believed to have been present during the rape ...”
Believed to have been present, it doesn’t sound as if they are sure about that. Besides, a 55 year old woman may have had sex with her boyfriend, or husband. Just because the perp’s DNA wasn’t on a blanket “believed to have been present” doesn’t mean he didn’t commit the crime. Sounds as if the Innocence Project may have gotten this guy out based on faulty “evidence”. If that is the case, someone at the Innocence Project should be charged with this child’s sexual abuse along with the perp.
Let’s not forget who runs the Innocence Project. They managed to declare and were believed that OJ’s DNA wasn’t OJ’s DNA - it had been tampered with!!!!! Scheck and Newfeld built their reputations and company on that....When DNA results suit their purposes, it’s reliable. When it doesn’t suit their purpose, it’s not reliable.
