Well, would not the Naturalization Act of 1790 be considered a source document that is far superior to any textbook? The authors of the Naturalization Act of 1790 were either the same writers of the Constitution or were appointed by the same. The author of the textbook might be snotty like you.
And when the subject was hot on this site way back when, there were a fair number of researchers who cited all kinds of legal documents, Supreme Court rulings, etc.
And since when would a modern American history text book be considered a reliable source? Modern American history, multicultural pushing textbooks are noted for skewing, covering up, and lying about American history.
