The difference between what happens in locally controlled religions is that once the offender is discovered, they are removed. I am not aware of any case in any other denomination where there are as many as 25-30 accusations against a single person.

It’s not the sin—which is bad. It’s the continued coverup and the relocation of the offenders.

I don’t understand why the pedo-defenders don’t understand this.

I am also not aware that most denominations keep complete permanent archives of all their clergy including school, medical, psychological evaluation and assignment records, and all correspondance, for generation after generation.

I'm not saying that's good or that's bad. I'm saying that like Biblical Israel, Catholics consciously document and carry our history with us forever, the saintly and the shameful, what's heart-breakingly beautiful and what's ugly as sin. It works great for canonization --- and for criminal indictment.
