That's as new as the classics are going to get for the most part, I think. Mid-90s cars on really just have no soul. That 89 Firebird growls and rumbles and smells like gas and you can work on it. When will anyone want a 40 year Prius? "Wow, listen to that low-pitch hum! And just look at that lithium battery!"
We live in a use-it-and-throw-away society theae days. Cars are not exempt.
Classic junk! Which ones? LOL!

Makes me wonder what good cars made after 1990 will be when the computers fail and there are no more spares. Electronics are only good for around 20 years before they become problematic.
Buick Roadmaster Estate wagons for one are really taking off, believe it or not. The last of the breed, vista roof, even the woodgrain is regarded as cool. Hell of a spacious, comfortable reliable vehicle, actually pretty economical highway but loads of power, tow just about anything a full size SUV could. I just hope the gas monkey types don’t bag and slam them all, even though they do look good dropped with Torq-Thrusts.
If worse comes to worst, a restorer can cast, or otherwise fabricate an unobtainable part for a '38 Cadillac.
Fast forward to 2030 and the problems I see with restoring 90's and more recent vintages are the electronics. How does a restorer come up with an ECU, display, etc for a limited production vehicle that has been long out of production?
