The body of a missing pregnant mother has been found hours after her husband confessed to killing her and their two daughters after pretending to not know where they were for days.

The body of Shanann Watts, 34, was found on Thursday at the Andarko oil and gas site where her husband Christopher works near their home in Frederick, Colorado.

The bodies of the children's two daughters Bella, four, and Celeste, three, are yet to be found but police say they know where they are and are in the process of recovering them.

Police probably found out he big insurance policies taken out on his family. They had money issues and the reason for that could be the motive.

He probably wanted free like Scott Peterson and he didn’t want divorce because it would cost him and strap his future with child support and responsibility for kids.

will check to see if there are prohibitions on Life Ins. policies written on persons without their knowledge.

That should be illegal.

I’ve never understood how this happens.

Evil walks among us. Satan has made serious inroads to our civilization as a whole. We are seeing the fruits of drifting...and purposefully walking away...from God.

Your reading comprehension is low.

My response was as to the question of “walking away.”

Realistically, in most cases it is simply not possible to do.

That didn’t mean endorsement of his actions.

People walk away every day, and eventually get found, and the problem is reset to the situation that triggered the departure.

Walking away is a simplistic error that solves nothing.

Abortion is legal. This right to murder overlaps into one’s feelings and personal situation. It is not hard to contemplate where society is going as the left has taken over our culture and civility.

My sense is people romanticize a “remarkable love story” about each other and willingness to go to all efforts.
Had he written her that he wished to never be involved with her, their existing kids, new baby, or her family...that would likely be the end of the story.
Would she really scour all four corners of the globe truly seeking him? If they had assets like a house, she could make decisions without him.

So terribly sad. Glad they didn’t live in NM, the husband would already be out on bail.

“Walking away is a simplistic error that solves nothing.”

It solves resorting to murder, which he knew that he was thinking about it.

People walk away from bad marriages all the time. And if she hunts him down then he files for divorce.

Killing the children is what takes this one out of the ‘normal’ range of spousal murder. I think there was one like this in Texas last year, but the wife was the killer.

Anyway killing the children and the dude’s utter lack of a guilty conscience is the sign of a narcissistic psychopath. Or maybe someone possessed. Maybe it’s the same thing.

More like Jeffery MacDonald, the Army officer who killed his pregnant wife and their 2 little girls. That was a vicious, bloody scene. I can’t fathom how anyone could do this to their own little child, it’s pure evil.

No, it resolves nothing and simply moves the ultimate crisis to some point in the future.

"...ultimately moves the crisis..."

Maybe yes, maybe no.

If the man had opted to NOT murder his entire family and instead departed Colorado and driven to New Hampshire to create a new life...I seriously doubt law enforcement would drop everything to pursue him.

Many years ago I had two friends (siblings) whose mother died of natural causes when they were maybe 12-13 years of age.
Their dad, who apparently wasn’t particularly interested in being a father, left two envelopes on the kitchen table with $1500 in cash in each.
Their names were written with a simple message, “Good Luck. Your grandma can deal with this house. Goodbye.”

The house somehow got sold, my friends went to their grandmother’s place (their mom’s mom), and nobody ever heard from the father again.
He just drove away and obviously built a new life elsewhere without kids he clearly didn’t ever want.
The police likely did not put too much, if any, effort into the search.
