That is an excellent point that the internet communication medium smoked them out. Now they see it all slipping away and are doubling down on full totalitarian control.
Had not heard that story. The story always offered up by the press was that she was diagnosed in middle age. May have been p.r. spin; she worked in an era when disclosing that sort of diagnosis at a young age would have meant the end of her career.
I had a classmate who was diagnosed a few years after we got out of high-school and died at age 50.
Life was not good for her.
