Whew! Finally caught up with the thread! Off to bed! Now no one post until I wake up! ;)
The artist seems to have put attention on the brutalized hands of the kids in the second painting, and they all share the same dead “look” on their faces. Posed bodies?
So yeah, the artist depicts abuse and horror in the first painting followed be a scene of torture ended in death in the second, it would seem.
I don’t even want to know at what stage they may or may not have been bled. (Gonna have nightmares about the scary lady and her cup.)
I’m guessing we’d see red on their clothes somehow\where, unless red shoes\lips\cheeks\butts\hands\feet being red are symbolic.

In both pictures their eyes look like they’ve been crying.
