It appears some characters in history over 100 years ago determined that a cut down shotgun would be an effective weapon a close ranges when only 1-2 shots were needed to take care of a criminal who didn't know when to run. Don't need a different gun. Needs more practice with what you've got, and maybe a little added thought, MAYBE better ammo.

I can hit with a handgun spot on. Just like the idea of still be able to hit the target if (s)he tries to dodge upon seeing weapon. But, you’re right. I don’t know much about guns.
