I hate short socks. I spend a decent amount of time in the outdoors. Mosquito’s, ticks and black flies go for the ankles. Socks prevent that.
I most often wear wool socks. They wick moisture better.
Darn Tough is my favorite brand. $25 for a pair of socks seems excessive but one pair is at least four years old with almost weekly wear.
