The worker, who worked for Horizontal Air at Seattle Tacoma Airport for nearly four years according to his Linkedn account operated as a ground service agent and operations agent loading bags.

...worker’s personal blog revealed Russell living in Pierce County with his wife, Hannah who he married in 2011 after meeting her in school the year before. The ground service agent, referred to as ‘Rich’ and ‘Richard’ by air traffic controllers, was born in Key West, Florida and moving to Alaska as a child.

... Russell and Hannah opened a bakery called Hannah Marie’s Bakery in North Bend, Oregon and ran it for three years.

In 2015, the couple relocated to Seattle ‘because we were both so far removed from our families’, Russell wrote.

While living in Seattle, Russell started working for Horizon Air, where he would have been earning circa $13.75 an hour as a baggage handler, writing that he enjoyed being able to travel to Alaska in his spare time. Russel, who was pursuing his bachelor’s degree for social sciences from Washington State University, said he wanted to move up in his company to one day work in a management position.

.
Takeoffs are easy; all you need is lots of throttle, but landing, not so much!

Too bad she got hitched to this ding dong but either didn’t see it or it didn’t bother her...much.

Glad they didn’t have kids...for their sake.

Can’t we have just a lunatic straight-up , doing the lunatic fringe thing? It’s either gambling or drugs ... doesn’t matter. What a sweet plane to go out on.

She has big eyes, but the crazy eyes are the ones where you see the white part over the iris. See photos of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Or photos of school shooters.

We are not being told something VERY important. Here is a clue. You cannot imagine the complexity of piloting a twin engine turbo jet aircraft to literally take off and do loop dee loops. There is something bad wrong with this story. I am familiar with flight training— That takes YEARS! in the seat with instructors. He didn’t learn this doing flag waiving on the tarmac. What the hell was REALLY going on here? are we being lied to AGAIN?

This guy wasn’t a terrorist-just a mentally unbalanced person bent on going out in a blaze of glory-maybe he was even hoping to commit suicide-by-fighter-jet. But what really bothers me is not that a loon was able to steal a plane and fly it around a populated area-but that ANYONE can find a way to steal a plane from SeaTac or any airport and get it airborne-if this guy could do it, a jihadist working in the same job could do it too...

I have zero sympathy for him and he had zero reasons to commit suicide.
Seems like a selfish, look at me now act of a loser. It’s not like he was locked up in a North Korean prison cell to end it.

The reports I read suggested he was a mechanic with maybe a decade of experience.

A mechanic with a real grasp of flight-line dynamics and some cheesy sim time could get a Bombadier Dash 8 off the ground and into some altitude ... JFK Jr unintentionally put a smaller Piper Saratoga twin into a similar death dive on the other coast, had a license, but only had marginally more log-hour experience with a twin turboprop.
