In the privacy of the home Asian wives can be very domineering. But they'll always act the good and subservient wife and never embarrass a husband in front of others. To do so is as much or more a loss of face for her as for him. Oh, and they can cook in the kitchen and the bedroom. So there's that. :) But an Asian wife will be Empress of the Home, not a slave to her master.
