You’ve had a dose of reality.

Forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting.

There is still hope for that woman as a mom.

I think the bigger concern is hope for that newborn child - and that hope would probably be best realized away from this woman.

Under what circumstances would you let her have her child back?

5 years of drug-test proven sobriety.

Would you be there to help?

I've had the experience of trying to help an opioid addict, for about 8 years. It's not much fun, it involved visits to places I did not want to see, encounters with people I did not want to meet, the experience of being lied to repeatedly and the constant dread that each time I saw this person - a childhood friend - might be the last time I saw this person.

I used to live in Huntington, they were walking around like zombies when I left around 8 years ago, now it’s a nightmare.

What has driven this? Heroin much cheaper and purer and the economy tanking?

Yep. I gave him all the tools he needed to get his act together back then, and he didn’t take advantage of them.

I’m happy for him now, but I’ll never trust him 100% again. ;)

Legalize drugs. It’s cheaper. That way those that overdose can be buried.

This is why there should be a war on drug dealers. Trump was right when he said some of them deserve the death penalty.
