You owe your earthly existence to a pit bull.
As for breeding, I think of the type of people who must have bred those three boys that tried to have our father harmed or killed by those German Shepherds. Breeding of such boys to me is the greater danger.
BTW German Shepherds are great dogs. Yes, they can kill and maim but they are controllable more than pit bulls.
I once walked down a country road and walked through a field to shortcut around an intersection. A German Shepherd came out of nowhere with teeth exposed, snarling. I stepped back on the road and the German Shepherd stopped right at the property line, That dog knew precisely where the line was. It kept barking and snarling at me but wouldn’t come on the road to attack me. Finally, there was a whistle from someone at the farmhouse of the property and the dog stopped barking snarling, turned around and ran back.
I don’t think pit bulls would be so easy to control.
You are correct!! Growing up my mother would never allow me to have a German Shepherd either- she had a bad experience with one as a child. As an adult, I found one someone had dumped out of a moving car. He was the best dog EVER, I want another GSD but unfortunately have not found one at the right time.
