See the two links below. This is not the Chicoms vs. Islam, it is just another aspect of the Chicoms vs. religion.

The Party is engaged upon a long term campaign intended to co-opt, subvert, or eliminate any belief system that does not subordinate itself to the Party.

They war against Buddism in Tibet, Islam in Xianjing, Christianity in China. All part of a greater campaign against the concept of God and Faith.
