Pit bulls are the most wonderful of dogs, except those that attack. Cannot they be more highly bred to keep their fantastically wonderful qualities, but not the attack mode some have? If anyone has ever had a great pit or pit cross, they know that these dogs are incredibly special.
Stability, Temperament and Confirmation
They will do their due diligence in screening prospective buyers
and ensure the buyers have done their own due diligence in educating themselves about the responsibilities of owning a 'pitbull',
and provide any additional info to the buyer if needed.
Taking on the responsibility of ownership of any dog should never be done on a whim and a responsible breeder will be alert to that possibility.
They will have buyers sign contracts that will allow the breeder,
if there is any hint of irresponsible ownership, to repossess the dog.
The breeder has the responsibility to investigate the buyer
and the buyer has the responsibility to investigate the breeder.
Dogs are dogs and are all potentially dangerous.
The danger is enhanced if the owners do not follow the Principles of Responsible Dog Ownership...
Contain, Control, Maintain, Train and Socialize....and mitigated if they do.
