Sen. Cory Booker made a guest appearance Tuesday night on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert." He didn't have a book to promote, or a new television show or movie to pitch. He was there ostensibly to encourage millennials to get out and vote. He also touched on the Supreme Court nominee and Dungeons and Dragons. And he got his name and face in front of the public again.
When the inevitable question came up - will he run for president in 2020 - the senator artfully dodged.
"I am up for re-election as a United States senator in 2020, so I will be running in 2020," he said.
The question isn't new for Booker. He's been hearing it for quite awhile. A recent poll by the Washington Post put the former Newark mayor among the top five contenders for the Oval Office, along with former VP Joe Biden, and Sens. Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Of course, polling this far out should be taken with a grain of sand.

Disagree. The loopier the dem candidate field is, individually and as a group, the better it is for us. I see him getting no traction and getting more melodramatic as he goes down in flames
