Once Its Greatest Foes, Doctors Are Embracing Single-Payer
Kaiser Health News ^ | 07Aug18 | Shefali Luthra

When the American Medical Association — one of the nation’s most powerful health care groups — met in Chicago this June, its medical student caucus seized an opportunity for change.

Though they had tried for years to advance a resolution calling on the organization to drop its decades-long opposition to single-payer health care, this was the first time it got a full hearing. The debate grew heated — older physicians warned their pay would decrease, calling younger advocates naïve to single-payer’s consequences. But this time, by the meeting’s end, the AMA’s older members had agreed to at least study the possibility of changing its stance.

I am not surprised. ALL our youth have been indoctrinated into Socialism. Why is anyone surprised that young doctors would embrace single-payer? The problem is....they have never lived under the Socialist single-payer system.....they will rue the day they embraced Socialized medicine if it actually becomes our healthcare model.

Re: All the doctors would eventually be foreign born.

Most people are not aware that the Immigration Act of 1965 (Ted Kennedy's handiwork) allows UNLIMITED annual Green Cards for foreign born MDs.

Re: Med School Student Loans

Sorry - my Comment was not written clearly.

I was speaking about MD-PHDs, who usually go on to teach or conduct full time research.

Many are the educated stupid. They are smart about their narrow specialty in life, but stupid about life itself. Doctors are often stupid enough to think that government healthcare will give good, equal healthcare to everyone. Never mind that in every country where it is tried people die due many government healthcare generated reasons.

These doctors see problems in the the currant system and with stars in their eyes dream about mommy government taking loving care of everyone. Naive and stupid, but educated.

The sad thing is, is starts in elementary school. They learn: From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.

Don’t know if it’s the same everywhere in the US, but in the metro Atlanta area, every school year starts with the indoctrination. Parents make their way to the local Walmart, grab a shopping list of things their kids need to bring to school the first day. All of those things are then given to the teachers and handed out as needed. IE, the kids go to the central authority(teacher) for all their needs. Whether it be a pencil, notebook or hand sanitizer.

This has been going on for quite some time there, as my nephews(26&27yrs old now), were not allowed to bring the superhero notebooks I got them, to school. My sister advised that they had to be generic colors, so no one had anything different than the other.
