Odd little side note regarding Trump’s comments at a Prison Reform Roundtable. POTUS begins by saying:
“THE PRESIDENT: Well, thank you very much, everybody, for being here in Bedminster. Weve had a lot of work. Weve done a lot of work. Theyre renovating the White House. Its a long-term project, and they approved it years ago. And I said, well, I guess this would be a good place to be in the meantime. So theyre doing a lot of work at the White House. I miss it. I would like to be there. But this is a good way of doing it.”
Just seems odd to bother to include such non-topic related introductory comments in the official record:

That is very odd, but very pointed. I wonder if there are other reasons for them to be out of DC right now (other than the fact that DC really sux in the summertime).
Seems like a direct message to someone.
"Weve had a lot of work. Weve done a lot of work".
You left us a pile of corruption, we have been busy cleaning it up.
" Its a long-term project, and they approved it years ago.
It's going to take years to clean out the swamp but we will continue until complete.
" I would like to be there. But this is a good way of doing it."
It will be more fun to watch from here and a hell of a lot safer. I'll return when the plan calls for me to.
“Theyre renovating the White House.”
Probably for the same reason they “renovated the Oval Office HVAC system” the last time DJT spent considerable time at Bedminster. I figure they’re just sweeping for, and removing, more listening devices from a larger area of square footage.
