A turboprop plane that was stolen from Sea-Tac International Airport has crashed on an island south of Seattle, authorities said.
Only the unknown pilot was on the plane, according to authorities.
Two F-15 fighters were scrambled from the Portland airport and followed the plane as it flew over the region, the FAA reported.

“We’ve confirmed a Horizon Air Q400 that had an unauthorized takeoff from SeaTac around 8pm has gone down near Ketron Island in Pierce County, WA. We’re working to confirm who was on board, we believe there were no guests or crew on board other than the person operating the plane.”
