FYI per our discussion of planned replacement for Collins. Evidently Collins has been under investigation for quite a while and there has been talk of replacing him because of it. His district is strong repub and he was challenged in 2012 by David Bellavia. Bellavia is an Iraq war veteran hero: Silver star, Bronze Star, Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal.
Could Bellavia be the man? We shall soon see.
The 'hero' medals are the Silver Star and possibly the Bronze Star. Reading about him leads me to believe his BS has the Combat 'V' (valor). That he was nominated for the Distinguished Service Cross and MOH further that belief. The ArComms and Achievement medals are meh, but not unexpected for a SSgt especially in light of the rest.
