Interesting find. Refreshing that in India, a predominantly Hindu country, scientific publications have no difficulty using the term “BC” as opposed to the more politically correct “BCE”.

BCE is not a PC term it has been around quite sometime. I first came across it in the Seventies when reading some Israeli archeology texts. Jews do not use BC or AD they used Before the Common Era and Common Era. I asked a Catholic Chaplain about it and he explained it as common usage among non-Christian and scientific journals. The term came into common usage in the 1700s. I am sure the PC growd prefers it as it appeals to their secularist faith. It makes them look smart in their eyes.
