Most people on here and in real life know me as an extreme anarcho-capitalist. Basically law-of-the-jungle Mises type.
However what's lost on the laissez faire types is that the PUBLIC TRUST has been historically conceptualized by the West - a good and entirely necessary construct of law.
We all love our free country, but you won't HAVE a country at all if you let it's systems to get hijacked by factions in banking, business, rail road media etc.
And not all of that can be policed by government. A people that lets God police it (on a level of being willing believers) works better.
Adam Smith identified this threat in his "Wealth of Nations".
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.
