Was in and around Ouray, Colorado last month. We saw a car dimpled like a golf ball. Not something we see in our part of the country. But someone explained it to us. Aw hail.
I lived in Lubbock, TX back in the 80’s and it seemed that every spring, the car dealers would have a hail sale.
Large open lots full of new cars got damage from hail storms.
I bought a new ‘86 Chevy truck that had the hood and the bed beat up. Got it for about 1/2 price.
“We saw a car dimpled like a golf ball.”
My Subaru now has the quite fashionable, aerodynamic hood. Didn’t bother my truck which was also outside.
Reports of 300 cars damaged at the zoo - which caught my attention.
Living in Monroe during a 1988 hailstorm - I owned a Pontiac Fiero which survived unscathed (fiberglass?) - all my office colleagues’ autos suffered major dents & damage.
That was my car here in S.E. Michigan back in the late 80's.....Not quite that bad tho
