CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of people were wounded in shootings across Chicago Sunday, police said.
Since midnight, police said 42 people have been shot, four fatally. Since Friday at 5 p.m., 59 people have been shot, six fatally, in shootings in Chicago.
"We know that some of these incidents were targeted and are related to gang conflicts in those areas," said Chicago Police Chief of Patrol Fred Waller at a press conference Sunday afternoon.

But But, according to the left, blacks are being slaughtered by cops daily..looks like the people blacks should be afraid of are other blacks
They keep this up and their sure to take the gold in the next Olympics.

If these same people were shot by cops there would be demonstrations and riots in the streets, but because they were killed by other blacks, no protests, no candlelight vigils, nothing..like they never existed

Eight (*8*) were shot in the Gresham neighborhood, at a location about 3 blocks from St. Sabina church - for those unfamiliar, that’s the parish of Michael Pfleger, the priest who led a protest march against gun violence a couple of weeks ago. Of course that protest wasn’t carried out in his neighborhood where the residents (mostly gang idiots) are doing all the shooting - oh no, they had to block an expressway miles away full of commuters who had nothing to do with this mayhem, all with Rahm Emanuel’s verbal support.
Meanwhile Rham wants to restore felons voting rights.
What a great way for Chicago to honor the first annual August 4th, Barack Obama Day.
Illinois has no restrictions on unincarcerated felons voting. Perhaps Rahm wants prisoners to vote from prison as permitted in Maine and Vermont.
That is why I am today introducing new legislation - the Federal Urban Gun Youth Optimization Unit Act (FUGYOU) of 2018. We need to increase the proficiency of urban shooters with federally subsidized range time. Think of how much unreimbursed ballistic wound care we can save at urban trauma centers!
