I guess now that I have heard Kellie call them America’s dog that makes it so.
The last run in I had with a pit was beating the hell out of one to get it off my dog, which it attacked for no apparent reason. My dog was on a leash, the pit was not although the pit was with its shady looking owner. It was pretty hard to get it to let go of my dog and I got fairly well scraped and beat up doing it. The owner didn’t help at all or even say anything until I got the dogs seperated. Lucky for the pit and it’s stupid owner, I didn’t just shoot it. I was armed and seriously considered shooting it but I was leaving for the sand box in a day and didn’t want to get caught up with the police for shooting a dog in town. I did tell the guy that if it happens again I will kill his dog. I don’t blame the dog. I have 5 dogs. I love dogs but I don’t care for the irresponsible type of people who tend to own pits, which I believe is the reason we hear so many stories like the one we are commenting on here.
That’s because the so-called owners of these dogs use them for intimidation factor. They are low life.
Even these suburban moms who go to shelters and brag about being a “rescue mom” walking these beasts around the neighborhood can barely hold them back on a leash.
Idiots. All of them.
