Once again you dog-haters are missing the BIG POINT. It's not about any particular dog attack. It's about the owners and how they treat and care for their dogs.
I've got a scar from a Doberman that goes from my top lip to my chin. Did I go on some dog-hating Jihad like you people? Of course not. It was the fault of the owner. Start holding these abusers and neglecters responsible then we can have an intelligent conversation. Till then this is all just twisted hate speech from you dog-hating leftists.
Top marks for hypocrisy there tootsie roll
As a child, I was scared of dogs, probably because I had to walk to the bus stop at age 6 by a fenced yard where the dog (boxer, I think, but could have been a pit) chased up and down the fence trying to get at me. A dog can still make me be fearful. Sometimes I think I’ve overcome my fear...dogs smell fear...and so...I am VERY aware of dogs around me. If I see a large, muscular dog of ANY kind, I am wary. Doesn’t make me HATE dogs, but does make me WARY of them. I also know that MANY dog owners do NOT know how to train their dogs, whether it’s a little shitzu or a big doberman. I don’t trust the owners one bit.
Once again you are missing the BIG POINT. Even if you are right there is NOTHING being done to insure the owners have the training and the skills to care for these dogs.
Go to just about any animal shelter in the country and you will find that 50-70% of the dogs for adoption are Pits and Pit Mixes. How many people have the training, skills, temperament and even the desire to handle these dogs? I doubt its one in a thousand. At present the dogs far out number the people capable of handling them what is your plan to address this issue? As well as the issue of untrained unfit owners?
