In 2012's debate between Cardinal George Pell and Richard Dawkins, Pell argued that Nazism and Stalinism were the "two great atheist movements of the last century." Dawkins responded that while Stalin was an atheist, Hitler was not.
However, they both agreed that Hitler represented the "personification of social Darwinism" (Pell) or that certain of what he tried to achieve arose "out of Darwinian natural selection" (Dawkins).
The divergence of opinion between Pell and Dawkins reflects deep divisions among historians themselves as to what the Nazis believed about religion.
The argument that the Nazis were pagans derives from the fact they arose from the ultra-nationalist volkisch movement in Germany, which had a bizarre range of esoteric and mystical religious notions. Hitler was certainly aware of the ideas of one of the most influential authors, Guido von List, who sought to rediscover the lost wisdom of the "Armanen," supposedly a high-caste of the priesthood of the pagan god Wotan (or Odin). He proposed to do so principally through runes and Norse poetry like the Edda.
When the Nazis first celebrated Christmas in Munich (in 1920), they did so as a solstice celebration...
In one of the most complete speeches we have of Hitler's from 1920, he made direct references to some of List's concepts and argued that all Aryans built "cults of light" wherever they had founded civilisations in the world...
In the same speech he disparaged the Bible as too Jewish... Yet at the end of August 1920, he argued the Nazis "supported every Christian activity" and promoted Nazism as a "gospel of German revitalization."
Hitler did voice a great deal of support for an "Aryan" Christ, generally a figure who fitted completely with his own agenda: a violent anti-Semite named Jesus.

I checked CSPAN recently and they show only a portion of that event, but not the interaction with Lurleen.
When I saw it I sat up straight and right there decided I needed to read everything about Hillary I could get my hands on.
I don’t know why there is a need for debate on this. The history is clear and, if Nazism had endured, there would have been nothing resembling the Christian Church in the Reich.
For instance, when Hitler was in Landsberg Prison, his right-hand man, Rudolf Hess, wrote in a confidential letter that Hitler told him that, as painful as it was for him, ‘for reasons of political expediency he [Hitler] had to play the hypocrite toward his church.’

I have always believed that the Bible was to Jewish, but then again, I don’t read Hebrew...
Nazism was to be a religious state combination just like islam.
Hitler talked about his religion while blaming Jewish people in many of his speeches. His religion is also mentioned in diaries and other writings of his friends. It’s mentioned in his autobiography, too. Revisionism is enticing to many, but it serves no good purpose. It’s better for a demographic group to continually improve its culture than to try to cover it up. Those of us who neglect to try to improve ourselves by getting rid of deleterious traditions tend to make the mistakes that our forefathers made in some generations.
Seances and necromancy were very popular with Americans in families of recent immigrants during the 1800s. Too many Americans continue to this day to indulge in other superstitions considered to be idolatry (astrology, etc.).
The Nazis were evil, but their evil rose from a flaw in western civilization; it’s a flaw that needs to be corrected—not swept under the rug of historical revisionism (another Nazi indulgence).
Uncle Adolf never hung paper no matter what Patton says in the great movie.
What would that flaw be?
And Bolshevik utopians on Stalin's front..communism was a religion too. Interesting take!
Nazi leaders were noted for love of their pets and for certain animals, notably apex predators like the wolf and the lion. Hitler, a vegetarian and hater of hunting, adored dogs and spent some of his final hours in the company of Blondi, whom he would take for walks outside the bunker at some danger to himself. He had a particular enthusiasm for birds and most of all for wolves. [...] Goebbels said, famously, The only real friend one has in the end is the dog. . . The more I get to know the human species, the more I care for my Benno. Goebbels also agreed with Hitler that meat eating is a perversion in our human nature, and that Christianity was a symptom of decay, since it did not urge vegetarianism. [...] On the one hand, monsters of cruelty towards their fellow humans; on the other, kind to animals and zealous in their interest. In their very fine essay on such contradictions, Arnold Arluke and Boria Sax offer three observations. One, as just noted, many Nazi leaders harboured affection towards animals but antipathy to humans. Hitler was given films by a maharaja which displayed animals killing people. The Führer watched with equanimity. Another film showed humans killing animals. Hitler covered his eyes and begged to be told when the slaughter was over.[29]
Eh, I’m not sure I’d go so far as to call Communism a religion. At most, it’s a philosophical viewpoint. When I think of a religion, I think of three key aspects that are required (all three of them, or at least two):
1. A deity
2. Supernatural elements/creatures/abilities
3. An afterlife
Communism has none of those (or at most, it probably has supernatural elements if their researching PSI is of any indication). The Nazis could at least claim to religion under a pagan sense. Same goes for the Japanese with their Shinto Buddhism.
That depends on which Jewish you mean. If you mean the Old Testament (aka Torah) kind of Jews, then yes, the bible was indeed Jewish. If by Jewish you mean Talmudic Judaism, then no, the Bible is definitely not Jewish (and if anything, the Talmud is a complete trashing of the Old Testament among others).
Just a little bit of history and niceties here for the puppets of Satan regards the wonderful world of socialism.
Anything else he said is evidence of whatever he was trying to put across in the particular speech.
While we know that humans are susceptible to Evil, Hitler was a little over-the-top.
Did you ever read “Der Fuehrer” by Konrad Heiden? If you like Hitler History (there is little other on the tube) this is an illuminating book. It doesn’t go into the Occultism, though.
He was actually an altar boy when he was very young. Not much of that translated to his adult life, though, as the number of Catholics he sent to the camps attests. I don't think he could really be described as adhering to any established religion at all, though. He appeared to enjoy some weird neo-pagan Wagnerian operatic mysticism a lot on occasion but any faith I've ever been able to discern in Hitler was strictly in himself as the savior of the Aryan people, whoever he imagined them to be.
On the other hand, his regime sent many priests, in addition to Protestant clergy like Bonhoeffer, to prisons and the camps.
There are certain aspects to that penetrating question.
One is that there were various levels of what the Party really believed, not all were Bat-shit crazy. He applied the Leninist model of concentric rings of party members with different things being taught. Only the Head has the complete picture.
Hitler was an expert at playing off one group on the others.
His early followers (especially) loved violence and fighting the Social Democrats in the streets. Anti-communists supported him, anti-Semites, nationalists, ex-military from WW1. The he had a great knack of jettisoning those of no further use or who had too much information about his history or plans.
Then you had the Goebbelsmedia spreading lies that this was all necessary for the salvation of the People.
When the psychopaths attack and destroy their enemies it is easier to unite. There were thousands of political murders carried out by the “Secret Army of Killers”, almost all Nazi opponents.
Trevor Ravenscraft’s “The Spear of Destiny” sheds light on the the occult dimension of his rise, something ordinary histories don’t even mention. Hitler’s surrender to Evil was comprehensive and complete beginning when he lived in Vienna.
