AUSTIN Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said that before two officers shot at a man, the 27-year-old suspect reportedly pointed a gun at his possible mother and assaulted her.
Manley said that sometime around 7:30 a.m. Friday, the suspect knocked on a door near Spicewood Springs Road and Mesa Drive. Manley said a woman -- possibly the suspect's mother -- opened the door before the suspect pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her. Manley said he believes the suspect told her to get on her knees and assaulted her.
