I’m probably proud of you, but not sure if I understand. But I can’t think of a time I haven’t been proud of you, so let’s just assume I am proud of you whether I am smart enough to understand your last or not.
I received a PM from someone who seemed to think my post #1 of the prior thread was encouraging FReeQs to entertain trolls. That was not my intent and I regret my writing skills didn’t flesh that out better. I suspect you were still able to see through my plethora of verbosity - I’ve seen you do it with trolls. *grin*
I have encouraged FReeQs to withhold judgment upon interacting with strangers on our thread because trolls have appropriated noob questions as their calling cards. I think early in this thread I saw FReeQs helpfully directing visitors to the links in the Thread table in response to questions, before they had time to find out if said visitors were trolls or not. I think that’s the best response to such questions from people.
Once trolls or others who simply want to disrupt, for whatever reasons or no reason at all, are identified, I’ve not seen anything work as efficiently as ignoring them. My prior Post #1 was not meant to suggest that we suffer trolls gladly or waste time trying to convert those who are here to waste time. Our conflict(s) with said time wasters on-thread creates an atmosphere that deters lurkers or other visitors from participating. So perhaps that does result in a “stand-down mode” regarding “Felicia.” But I woulda been proud of you anyway, now it’s just more so. Like I’m thinking I owe you a nice lunch somewhere. :)
If we have concern trolls trying to demoralize or confuse noobs et. al, it’s possible to post content to oneself that refutes their trash or post rebutal content to one another without mentioning the time-waster.

Entertaining the trolls is like using a laser light on the cat...it’s fun for awhile, but eventually you wonder just how stupid can that cat be?
many instances today where concern trolls have “slid” the conversations away from investigations of Q... sigh..
