doesn’t seem to be 50 NYPD chiefs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organization_of_the_New_York_City_Police_Department

Where are you getting your info ?
Can you point me to links ?

I have been chasing the NYPD aspect of this story since 11/2016.

There are only 2 sources for most of that: True Pundit and Erik Prince’s interview.
No source has verified either.
Any other stories about this from other sources always point back to the True Pundit article and to a lesser extent, Prince’s interview.

No member of the NYPD has ever verified anything.

Based on what I have researched, NYPD ever having the laptop is suspect.
Weiner’s laptop doesn’t appear to have been seized by the NYPD.
Weiner turned his devices (laptop\cell phone etc..)into a private firm.
I am currently chasing who hired the private firm.

I have been having this discussion with other Freepers without getting much light shed on the NYPD aspect of this.
you can check it here.

I would be grateful if you can shed some light on what I have not been able to find.
Thanks.

My opinion of True Pundit is pretty low. I tend to just ignore stuff they report, it's a click-bait site, and they seem to lack any quality control. I believe they have been caught with their pants down a few times.

Snopes

And yeah, I know Snopes themselves are questionable.

The original story in October 2016 came from an outfit called True Pundit, that seems to have had a pretty good track record. Search for them, and you should find the article about NYPD and the laptop’s contents.

> “Where are you getting your info ?”

From a very tough seasoned NYPD veteran who was part of an elite investigating unit within NYPD, now retired but working as a contracted investigator. He no longer answers calls from my NYC friend who I listened in with And he didn’t say much other than it would rock the world, big meeting at HQ, and we would hear more in the news. We didn’t. Almost everyone on NYPD or formerly with NYPD that has knowledge is extremely close-lipped about it.

> “Can you point me to links ?”

I’ll try to help. But caution that very little is to be found in the public domain.

In regards to size and number of NYPD force and chiefs, public information shows there are about 40,000 NYPD in uniform. This is the biggest and oldest PD in the nation. If 50 chiefs is an accurate number, that would pencil out to an average of 800 uniformed police per chief. That makes sense, it’s very plausible. It does not red flag the number as bogus.

There are at least 4 ranks of NYPD police chiefs.

Department Chief
Bureau Chiefs
Assistant Chiefs
Deputy Chiefs

Bureau chiefs number at least 20 and we can bet each Bureau Chief has assistants and deputies.

Here’s a link to the Bureaus:
https://www1.nyc.gov/site/nypd/bureaus/bureaus.page

One telltale sign that NYPD has the laptop is that Schneiderman put out an order to them not to release any of the contents, it was sealed from any disclosure.

Another telltale sign is how AG Lynch injected herself into the NYPD Eric Garner case when NYPD was threatening Comey to reveal the contents or they would go public. Comey came out with a bizarre public statement that he was reopening the Clinton investigation about 10 days before the election; unheard of. Then he promptly closed it as Lynch weighed in. Comey managed to trigger Hillary’s psychopathic personality who is reported to want to see him dead and blames him for the election loss. And that is why RR recommended firing Comey because Clinton wanted him to. Comey later said he had managed to piss off everyone. Poor him. All this drama points to the sensitivity of what NYPD has.

That you’re not finding anything means it’s under tight wraps, That’s a good sign.

As for Weiner handing his devices to another group, I heard that too. It may be misinformation. I’ve also heard Weiner was in the process of turning over those devices but was intercepted as a result of the sexting warrant.

Last year there were a very few sources to the news of what happened to Weiner’s laptop. All those sources have clammed up. They are not saying a word about it any longer. I look at that as a sign that the upper echelon is in control and that’s a good sign. If the laptop had been lost or misplaced, there would be news of it just as there is news of the missing DNC server.

Wish I could help more.

Information is hard to find - most likely because being in possession of said information is a death warrant. Hillary wouldn’t allow those with knowledge to live. Early on, there was a report of two police officers with knowledge who were believed to have been killed (Arkancided). One was honored for her service the week this was discussed on our thread. I can understand why no one wants to validate having seen or having knowledge of the contents or the location of the laptop. I don’t think that information can safely surface from the source (NYPD) but must find a safer channel (Trump Administration’s government?).
