But the missile appears to have been launched in a timeframe where an attempt on AF1 is plausible.

But yeah, there is no proof publicly available that it happened one way or another.

and if there is a top secret sub launched intercontinental surface to air anti-aircraft missile that nobody has ever seen :^)

there are sub launched anti aircraft missiles but they are in their infancy they don’t have the range and would require complex guidance systems one to fly the missile half way around the world and another to acquire the moving target of the other aircraft
