Woman sues Canada Dry, claims there's no ginger in its ginger ale

Julie Fletcher of Bolivar, New York, has filed a lawsuit against Canada Dry’s parent company Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, claiming the company’s ginger ale drink, which bills itself as being “made from real ginger,” hardly contains any ginger at all.

In Fletcher’s class-action lawsuit filed July 10 in New York federal court, she noted “Canada Dry’s ginger flavor extract is not ‘real ginger’ as reasonable consumers understand that term,” according to the New York Post. “It is manufactured in a lab using various chemicals and extraction processes.”

While the product has “some ginger compounds,” the percentage is a “minuscule” two parts per million.

“Instead, Canada Dry Ginger Ale is made from carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, preservatives, and “natural flavors,” i.e., a flavor compound comprised predominately of flavor extracts not derived from ginger, and a minuscule amount of a ginger flavor extract,” the lawsuit alleged.

“...I checked my Canon T6 gunsafe (6ft wide x 7.5ft tall)...

Checked it for which long guns I’d be using when the muzzie filth invaded us, or staged an uprising with hidden sleeper cells, already here and awaiting their “signal”.

I clung to that reason as an excuse to buy 100,000+ of ammo for 8 calibers of firearms I had. We (several customers plus family) bought cases by the pallet load and delivered by common carrier’s truck.

I gave him and family a $15,000 landscape transformation, as a thank you for his service.

I had a forklift that came in real handy for unloading nursery stock and other deliveries, and the price was a lot more friendly buying by pallet-case lots. And yes, that’s brass from a AC-130 Spectre Gunship’s (”Spooky”) 105mm Howitzer and 40mm GAU-21 cannon.

I have a friend (and former customer) who’s recently retired from the USAF after 21yrs - was a full colonel - but this brass came from his 2nd of 4 tours in Afghanistan. He truly enjoyed his “work”.

“...40mm GAU-21 cannon...”

Not sure if that’s the right designation for the 4-round “clip” of shells you can see them loading in this YT video:

From another article:

“At the time, the company claimed that lab results done by a third party didn’t necessarily validate the claim.

‘Plaintiffs’ entire theory of falsity rests on a single-sentence conclusion that some never-identified ‘independent laboratory’ tested some unspecified beverage, in a never-disclosed way at a never-alleged time,’ the company asserted during the case.”

I agree with her. Canada Dry is terrible.

I agree also. She has a point about the ginger taste. We use Schweppes Ginger Ale, ironically made by the same conglomerate, but a great tasting Ginger Ale.
