I'm not yet on the verge of a psychological breakdown; but I was asked, after another rant about the left seemingly running amok with little or no pushback from the normal guys (other than PJDT), "so, what are you accomplishing, other than elevating your stress level and blood pressure?"
The point was well taken. I'm not running for office, protesting in the streets, writing letters to the editor, or verbally bitch-slapping liberal morons when I encounter them, etc.
I'm just, every day it seems, getting worked up and complaining about things...and to what end?
I see your problem. You have been conned into regarding them as normal. There is a famous quote from Ruskin, 1000s can do for one who can think and 100s can think for one who can see. What DJT has done is looked at the situation, seen how out of sorts the times are, and made the DS curse the spite that he was born to set it right.
To what end? To show up with enthusiasm at the polls on November 6 to declare with your vote that you approve of the policies of this President, and to encourage all the like-minded Trump supporters to do likewise. This is a crucial election to save his presidency, and the Democrats will cheat, as always.
I understand where you are, buddy. I have been tuning out the “news” for a few days, now. Just checking the headlines, hoping to see a report of some Anti-America maggot buying the farm, or being taken into custody of some patriotic Federal Marshals to no avail.
Had a morning appointment with my sawbones and my blood pressure was 110 over 60. I think that I’m on the right track. Will be snapping in for a couple of hours. Putting some rounds down range is always a good stress reliever.
I sometimes get all worked up like that. I seem to have a need to watch NBC/Lester Holt show at 5:30 p.m. central time, just to see what BS is being broadcast to the masses each day. Then might see a little Tucker or Hannity, but have a personal rule to NOT watch any of that political stuff after 9 p.m. So usually change out to House Hunters or American Pickers. Forensic Files is great for falling asleep, because it is so monotone.
Sounds like you might think about unplugging for awhile, or at least limiting your exposure. Go for a walk or work on the yard, do a crossword on the porch.
Hope you feel better soon.
