Micromatrix approach begins with a clean biological scaffold which is then infused with a recipients stem cells to grow a new functional organ. Likely to succeed first with producing a functional liver.
A whole liver has to include an intrinsic vascular supply and a micro collection system for the excretion of bile...a bit more complicated then just growing tissue on a matrix bathed in nutrients. I imagine they’ll work those issues out and as the liver isn’t a muscular organ the way the heart is, I agree you might see livers first.
