Scientists can 3D print human heart tissue now. The future is here

The biggest challenge is not that a heart can be 3d printed but to produce a heart that has been “pre-stressed’ to withstand the rigors of being placed into a body with out blowing apart as well as having a well tuned chemical-electrical conductive system to regulate the heart’s beat efficiently. I could see heart tissue “patches” being produced to help repair and “remodel” damaged areas of a heart and I know they are working on valves...these things I can see being put to use within the next 10 years or so. But a fully grown heart....I fear that is dependent on tech still to be developed. I suppose the first steps are to be able to reliably grow the tissues in the first place and that seems to be rapidly coming into fruition.
