so so very sorry for your terrible loss....losing a child has got to be the worse thing to happen to a parent/grandparent..

my husband still rides...grrrr...he's 66..I think I at least have him agreeing to not drive at night..he does not use it that much anyway...

we know of a young man who the day he bought his motorcycle, he took it out and was killed within the hour.....

yes, the child should be able to get a nice SS check until age 18...however, the mom would be the custodian or guardian and she would have access over the payments...

again, prayers for you and your family.

Very sorry for your loss, Allen. How horrible.

Our son bought a motorcycle when he was 25. He’s always lived a little too dangerously and is not a particularly defensive or attentive driver, so my wife and I were scared to death. He became an EMT, is a volunteer Fire Cadet at a local fire department, and is working on his paramedic degree now. In the past year, he has now seen a fair amount of death up close and personal including Jaws of Life extrications from accidents. He finally decided to sell the bike a couple months ago and my wife and I are ECSTATIC that it is gone. Thank God nothing happened to him.
