Could we see this happen in October?
You are correct that he can do it with the stroke of a pen, so the delay must have a purpose.
Possible explanations:
1. Timing. The October surprise to end all October surprises. At that point, and with a larger House majority, the bleach hoses and sandblasters clean out the DOJ and FBI.
2. To show his patience and long sufferance with all this partisan nonsense.
Timing. We are in the middle of an election cycle.
He says he doesn’t want to get directly involved in the investigation. Given that his firing of Comey resulted in the nightmare that is Mueller, this is understandable.

well my guess is one of following:
- He is waiting until closer to the election and when people are paying attention. Summer months no one but political junkies are watching.
- There is bad info in there he doesn’t want out (but then if there was the rats would have already leaked it).
- He doesn’t want to play into the rats hand of saying he gave up intelligence sources by declassifying this.
- Waiting plays into his favor. Currently this “scandal” isn’t hurting him but helping him as it makes the deep state and democrats look even worse. Then pop the info after he has trapped as many as he can.
- He’s being lied to by his advisors and Jeff Sessions.
Jeff Sessions alarm clock is set for November 14th @6:00am.
A. The info is too damaging or earth shattering. IOW, nation ending.
B. He’s literally under the gun

It’s an interesting question. So far, he’s pretty justified in saying that he’s allowing “the process” to play out without him interfering with it, that he’s trusting the professionals to handle it correctly. The latest document dump was as a result of a FOIA from Judicial Watch. Others have come via Congress. He’s also got to think about lily-livered GOPers in Congress, many of whom never wanted Trump and remained threatened by them enough that they probably would unite with Democrats around impeachment/removal. But to me, it’s clear to that Mueller is covering up abuses under the rubric of an “ongoing investigation”, which investigation will be ongoing until he finds something to get Trump with. It’s not an easy place in which Trump finds himself, but I trust that he’ll navigate it the best way possible.
Think about it, sheesh...
Perhaps the ongoing Huber investigation?
Perhaps the necessary buildup of public outcry in order to make it appear that it is not political?
Perhaps both...
I proposed that ALL documents be declassified and released just one week after Robert Mueller was appointed.
Instead, the Russia Collusion hoax has been eating away at Trump’s credibility and his ability to govern since his first day in office.

Because we can’t handle the truth. The bad actors are across the spectrum. He cannot loose the tentative support he has in Congress.
Has Trump already read these documents, without the redactions?
Don’t know, but have read elsewhere here on FR that doing so would hand Mueller evidence for the obstruction of justice charge.............
