Yeah, I agree. It didn’t help that half of the establishment hated Palin. It’s as if McCain was throwing the race and this was his overt way showing it. In short, he looked for an albatross to tie around his neck and picked Sarah. Never mind that his own shortcomings and weak campaigning were what really brought him down. Sarah did everything she could to pull the ticket out of the soup.
Trump’s case is much different. He campaigned in the primary as an outsider and ran for President as the very same outsider. Tack to the center? That’s the chump’s game and he knew it. You knew where Trump stood on everything simply by looking at everyone in the establishment and media arrayed against him. He had all the right enemies!
It almost didn’t matter who his VP pick was. Trump was the locomotive and everyone else tacked on behind him.
He loves the fight. No one else on our side has the stomach for it. 8 years. Good time to be alive. I’m in my 60’s and seen a lot. Things are coming around.
