Isn't that what the MSM said about the North Korea meeting?
I don’t recall reading that regime change was a realistic goal of the US in North Korea. They are protected by the Chinese, there is nothing we can do to get rid of them, at least not through riots in the streets and the government being toppled. They would just kill everyone and there would be no news about it.
But in Iran, there is a chance to have a movement that results in the Mullahs fleeing with their stolen bank accounts. If we can accomplish that, there is no reason to negotiate with the Mullahs, we just wait for the next government, which will presumably be more free.
