•Joseph James Pappas, 62, was named as the suspected killer of Dr. Mark Hausknecht
•Pappas is at large, suicidal and is believed to be armed with multiple weapons
•On July 20, Dr. Hausknecht was gunned down on his bicycle in Texas
•Police say Pappas has been plotting the attack for the death of his mother 21 years ago
•Julia Pappas was one of Hausknecht’s patients and died on his operating table in 1997
•Police think her son, a licensed real estate broker, had been planning to kill the doctor for some time
•Dr. Mark Hausknecht treated President HW Bush for an irregular heartbeat in 2000
I don’t know that the background is a complete explanation given what we’ve learned about MKUltra etc. - did he arrive at this action independently or was he “helped” / “coached”. Interesting to learn who was his “therapist”.
