In fact, they even created a special graphic with the misspelled word in it.
He isn't being well served by such sloppy work.
It’s not always sloppy work. Sometimes your brain completes the misspelled word, esp. if you are just quickly scanning. It’s like those graphics you see where there are no vowels, or letters are transposed, or it’s backwards or upside down and you can still read it easily.
My husband’s company recently put out a pamphlet - the big font heading on one page was supposed to be “Frequently Asked Questions” but it was actually “Frequently Ased Questions” (thank goodness it wasn’t “Assed”). Dozens of people looked this over before approving it, and no one caught it for at least 2 months until someone at the printing co. called about it and it was corrected. LOTS of pamphlets went out with the error .... Funny thing is - No one who was sent the pamphlet reported the error either.
