I wonder if this has anything to do with the news outlet they are watching. TURN OFF THE TV, and especially CNN

My TV is off at least 80% of the time. When it's on, I'm watching a movie, learning something new, finding a YouTube channel I like and that's about it.

I occasionally watch Fox News Sunday (when it's not pre-empted by something else here in the Chicago market....) for the first segment and turn it off after that.

Those are my viewing habits since the 2016 election, which is when this mass-hysteria broke out. Have to say, I feel so much better. TV really is junk food for the brain the the least amount we let our brains consume of it, the better!

Conclusion: you're exactly right.

I was seated at a restaurant the other day right next to the TV, which was playing CNN. I first asked if the channel could be changed. Laughter. I then asked to be moved to a different area of the restaurant. Sulkiness from the hostess but she moved me.

When my pal arrived, I was determined to avoid politics. But during the lunch came the stab: “he’s disturbed at what’s happening to our country.” Couldn’t she have found a less insulting way to say that? Just say “he hates Trump”? It ruined the lunch.

No more going to this restaurant. No more lunches with people who think Trump is ruining America. You have two choices in NYC: get insulted by the Left or become a hermit.

Then the shrink can no longer charge the $175/hr. (or whatever) for "therapy".

Romans 8

28 Moreover we know that to those who love God, who are called according to his plan, everything that happens fits into a pattern for good...

31-32 In face of all this, what is there left to say? If God is for us, who can be against us? He that did not hesitate to spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all—can we not trust such a God to give us, with Him, everything else that we can need?

35-36 Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, pain or persecution? Can lack of clothes and food, danger to life and limb, the threat of force of arms? ...

37 No, in all these things we win an overwhelming victory through Him who has proved his love for us.

38-39 I have become absolutely convinced that neither death nor life, neither messenger of Heaven nor monarch of earth, neither what happens today nor what may happen tomorrow, neither a power from on high nor a power from below, nor anything else in God’s whole world has any power to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord!
