Don’t know if the study is valid or not, but I HATE plastic. Not for environmental reasons; I just don’t like the stuff. But then, I like old stuff: glass refrigerator dishes, metal lunch boxes with leaky thermoses, waxed paper, wrapping your garbage in newspaper and paper grocery bags, and carrying it out to the back yard and burning it in your trash barrel. City dumps with tin cans and old broken junk, instead of huge landfills that pollute our drinking water or get floated off in barges in big cities, to some place that can’t say no, because they need the money.
I know plastic is a wonder, especially in the medical supply field, but other than that, I kinda wish we didn’t have the stuff. But then I’m a luddite. And a xenophobe.

My primary complaint against plastic is that it cannot be repaired.

Merchants love disposable crap!

I agree. No plastics allowed in my house with the one exception of garbage bags. Glass and porcelain and old fashioned knives, forks and spoons, even for picnics. Storage in my refrigerator always glass, and parchment paper for sandwiches. I HATE plastic.
