It was a war between two Christian nations. This is a war against the kind of Humanism that spawns Islam and other forms of paganism. They don’t play by our rules.

There was apparently one episode during the Civil War in which Union General George Custer (yes, I suppose he’s THAT Custer) attended the wedding of a Confederate general at William and Mary College. There was apparently no rancor between the two men, and Custer apparently was hitting on the Confederate general’s sister while he was visiting.
