At first glance, the circular element looks like it has Arabic letters, while the triangular element looks a bit like a pedo logo.

Bali is the only Hindu island in the nation of Indonesia. Basically the rest of Indonesia is run as a less-strict version of Saudi Arabia: Lots of Sharia law for everyone.

Bali is their "free zone", sort of like some of the smaller Gulf Emirates are for Saudi Arabia. It's a favorite destination of Australian surfers, but it also as the International Conference Center for the entire nation of Indonesia. So, sort of a weird place.

I'm sure that is a Hindu trinket he's wearing. The top part is Sanskrit, maybe "Om", all though I can't read Sanscrit so it all looks like "Om" to me.
